Camp Matoaka currently provides round trip transportation to and from camp in camp vehicles for a specific fee from Newton, MA - $150.00, New Rochelle, NY - $250.00, Westport, CT - $225.00, West Hartford, CT - $200.00, and from the Portland, ME Jetport - $100.00. All campers' flights should arrive and depart from Portland Jetport, Portland, Maine. All luggage must arrive at camp one week prior to the campers' arrival. Steve Boschetto (Phone: (877)323- 4858 Fax: (603)883-5684) from Colpitts Travel is our official camp travel agent (please ask for him and identify yourself as a Matoaka parent). You may contact him to arrange air travel for your daughter.

Laundry

All campers are required to send dirty clothes, sheets and towels to the laundry located on our campus. International campers will be provided with 3 blankets, a pillow and 2 sets of linens for a rental fee of $100 for full session or $50 for half session. Camper laundry will be dropped off at the portable laundry shack at 7:45am on a day specified for each week. Each camper's laundry is done individually and returned clean and folded. Counselors are responsible for collecting and delivering the laundry.

English Riding

Horseback Riding (English) offered three times per week, is an optional extra with a fee of $600 full season and $350 half season.

Uniforms

There is a minimal camp uniform that must be purchased along with the required linens and towels from our official clothing provider. A suggested clothing and equipment list is provided for your convenience. Recommended items to be purchased can be found on the back of the enrollment form or in the catalog. Suggested types and quantities of clothing should be followed.

Our official camp uniform supplier is once again The Cloz Company. We will send you a catalog with their Cloz selection, prices and local show dates in early January. You can call them anytime at (800)876-2267 or visit their website at www.cloz.com.

Envelope Money

Campers sometimes want extra money when they go out of camp on trips. For example, they may want to buy a soda and popcorn if we take them to the movies. For these purchases, we allow campers to keep envelope money in the office. Envelope money works much like a bank account and is administered by the office. We recommend you send a check to our Maine office prior to your daughter's arrival made payable to your daughter. We will have her endorse it and deposit it in her camp account. For appropriate amounts, please refer to the parent handbook and Matoaka Newsletters. Money left over at the end of the summer will be sent home with your daughter.

Credit Card Policy

Camp deposits may be paid by credit card up to a maximum of $1000. We accept both MasterCard and Visa. It is a requirement that we have a credit card number on file for all camper medical expenses and pharmaceutical needs throughout the summer.
